July 4, 2011

We enjoyed our 4th of July weekend! On July 2, we went to the Williston parade. It was great, especially for Willison...[smile] The Taylor's were also down visiting at the time.

On the 4th, we went over to Grandaddy and Grandma's for a picnic and spent the afternoon there. Delicious food, including Grandaddy's hamburgers (the absolute best ever!), Frisbee, football, pictures, many games of "Guess Who?" played primarily by the six year old boys, more pictures as Frances took some pictures of the matching girls [smile], practicing music for the wedding [big smile], talking, and just a sampling of what made out to be a fantastic afternoon! Then that evening we went with alot of the family around here, and some friends to the Ocala fireworks!

Hope y'all had a great 4th too...

My county 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty,
of thee we sing. Land where my fathers died,

Land of the pilgrim's pride, from every mountain side

Let freedom ring!

O beautiful, for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain,

for purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain...

America! America! God shed His grace on thee...

and crown thy good with brotherhood,

from sea to shining sea!

O say can you see by the dawns early light;

what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,

whose broad stripes and bright stars,

through the perilous fight. Ore the ramparts we watched

were so gallantly streaming!

And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air,

gave proof through the night, that our flag was still there!

And the star spangled banner...

in triumph shall wave!

or the land of the free

And the home of the brave!

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord,

he is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored.

He hath loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword,

 His truth is marching on!

Glory, Glory Hallelujah!

His truth is marching on!

"Blessed is the nation whose
God is the LORD; and the people whom
HE hath chosen for His own inheritance."
-Psalms 33:12
