:: From Our Kitchen ::

While visting the Taylor's last winter, we had this supremely good cheesecake for the first time! It's extremely quick to whip up, and sends a wonderful aroma throughout the house as it bakes!

Oreo Cheesecake

1 pkg oreos
1/3 c. butter
1 ½ c. sugar, divided
4 8oz. Cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs

Scrap white off oreos and then crush them cookie part. Once crushed, stir in melted butter and ¼ c. sugar. Pat in 9x13 pan. Mix all other ingredients until smooth including the oreo cream you scraped off earlier. Pour mixture into pan. Bake at 350’ for 40 minutes. Delicious topped with homemade blueberry pie filling.

Alanna is a big "help" in the kitchen and especially enjoys crushing the oreos!

So, I'm curious, do you do anything with the white cream part of the cookies, or just toss it?

I'm sorry--I neglected to add that piece of instruction! You add the oreo cream to the cheesecake mixture...

What a girlie girl! She looks like she was giving it all she had! Those little fingers were realllly squeezing them!

"Giving it all she had"...she does alot of that...especially when it comes to attempts to do whatever we older girls are doing--cooking definitely included! =)
