Bittersweet

"Here am I Lord; send me."

If you've read our blog for any period of time, you've seen pictures of three adorable cousins: Caden, Alayna, and Analee. I've also mentioned their parents, Ryan and Joy, a few times.

For many years Uncle Ryan has been preparing to be a missionary pilot: a much needed asset for families and individuals serving God all over the world. Two years ago the Lord directed them to Missionary Flights International, and they have worked hard to raise the support necessary. (To learn more about MFI, visit the "Give" page below our blog header.) After a lot of waiting and even more praying, God provided what they needed to move further down south and begin working with MFI!

A couple weeks ago, we had them over for the last time before they moved...

Analee is hard to share!...[smile]

Playing in our fort is a favorite...

...so are books getting read to them!

There's lots of hugs to go around!

They loved singing together...

Alayna and William heard them and ran to join the party...

Lined up before devotions....We had such a great night with them, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Thanks guys, for coming over!

With their cake. The Sunday before they left, Mrs. E. made a cake for them and the rest of the church to share. When there are 150 others around, it's difficult for the children to look for a picture! [smile]

Yes, it's sad to have such dear family move away. I think I can most accurately describe it as bittersweet...the "bitter" part is that we really, really miss them. Seeing them at least twice a week was something we looked forward too, and now it'll be several weeks at least (yes, I know...very close by for missionaries!) between visits.

But the "sweet" most certainly trumps the bitter! How exciting it is to see God continue to call people to His service...right from our own church! I'm so thankful for family who is actively involved in fulfilling the great commission, and to the Lord for how He has worked in their lives over many years and brought them to the point of full time ministry.  I look forward to seeing how God will continue to use them as they glorify and serve Him!!!

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
{Matthew 28:19-20}
