'Tis the Season...

for baking and GIVING.

These two seem to go hand in hand. Why bake if there's no one to share it with? There are so many things our family loves about Christmastime...baking, lights, singing, laughter, sweet fellowship, coziness, bonfires, giving and more singing! Baking for church family and neighbors is enjoyed all times of the year, but especially at Christmas.

As usual, the whole family was involved in some aspect of the decorating thereof!

Buckeyes...yes there's still some Northern in us! [grin]

Chocolate Cheesecake Truffles

Other treats not pictured included plain cheesecake and chocolate chip cookie dough truffles and coated pretzels.

What do you do when the kitchen is flurry of activity and the mixer that has been repaired, repaired {oh, and repaired again!} gives up the ghost after many years of service? Why invent another mixer, of course! A corded drill with a beater attachment is a lifesaver for whipping cream cheese. My Dad came up with that one!

Have you enjoyed baking this season? And, I'm sorry guys, as some of y'all are likely feeling sudden hunger pangs for all the goodies pictured on your screen...again. Perhaps it's time for you to do some baking! [grin]

"Blessed be the Lord God...
for he hath visited and redeemed his people!"
