The Best Thing

"The best thing you can do for your country is to live a holy life!"

Some of you readers may have been introduced to that quote in this post. I encourage everyone to listen to this sermonHow we live really does matter...for the sake of generations to come!!

And now for some more July 4th pictures...

Remember Genesis 18? God would've spared Sodom just for the sake of ten righteous, and yet they weren't there. May we be the righteous remnant of 2013, preserving and illuminating, so God would work revival in our nation!

"Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
{Matthew 5:13-16}

Thank you for this reminder Charity! How true- we as Christians should be a light to the world, and also salt, which has a preserving action, as well as making so many things taste better. Christians leading holy lives help to preserve the world from God's wrath, and also make it a better place to live. I love this parallel between Christians and salt.
See you on the Lord's day!

Thank you for your encouraging comment, Layna dear! I love the parallel too...may God preserve and work revival in our nation because of the lives we {and others} as the *minority* live!
