Winter Joys

"Whoso TRUSTETH in the LORD; HAPPY is he!"
{Proverbs 16:20}

The Lord has truly blessed us with a WONDERFUL life! Looking back over some daily life moments of the past two months reminds me of that fact. There were many other blessings not captured or not shared on here, but here are a "few" pictures...

Cheerful lil' bros!

Jonathan always has someone to entertain him...

S'more's in the living room one cold night.

Assistant seamstress...Alanna turned this pocket right side out by herself! She loves being at my side {or on my lap} as I sew, helping guide the fabric or pushing the petal, while we enjoy each other's company!

A "train"...

We love our Daddy...{and this picture was taken in mid January--we keep our Christmas tree up a while!}

Hot chocolate days

Story time with Mom

Getting wood to chop for a fire...

William, with an awfully dorky outfit throw together, is eagerly in on the action!

Garden fresh lettuce

sister love

farmers in the makin'...

listening to Mom read a bible story...

About to take turns praying for various sick people...
The story for that day was the incredible account of Jesus stilling the sea. Jesus spoke and the waves ceased. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever: If He chooses, He can speak and reverse any circumstance...instantly! Just incredible.

William took a turn reading the story to Alanna and her ever growing family...

Watching bread bake...

Working in the kitchen together...
They were enjoying a sample of the delicious oatmeal cookie dough we'd just mixed up. These two are so precious.

First time to drink a bottle...

Count down 'til Daddy's return...{January 28th}

After Anna, Ivan, and I came home sharing stories about our wonderful, memorable experiences helping pack 194,000 meals for children at Missionary Flights International, Andrew went on a kick...running around the house and garage collecting empty boxes to "pack", and "transport" in the van, preparing to load them up in one of MFI's dc-3's for a flight to the Caribbean!

Birthday party for Ava, Alanna's special baby doll.

Practicing his sitting up skills!

Candy Land!

Jonny with the train Dad got for him from India

Ellen's gifts...a necklace and organizer pouch. Dad was so thoughtful to get us all gifts to bring back with him!

Anna's hair cut...She and I got 12+ inches cut off to donate to women with cancer. Something small and simple we can do to bless women in need of it.

Modeling for etsy...
Alanna does such a great job getting pictures done. Not to mention that she's down right adorable[smile]

William was rather disconcerted about Alanna "getting to be a flowergirl", so I told him he could be the ringbearer. Now, his outfits normally go together, but he'd just changed when I captured the picture he requested of the mix-matched duo!

And the perfect conclusion picture to this rather scattered post: the lil' man who melts my heart {and all of ours!} every time I see his darling face. He's a delight in our lives!

Now, we'll see what this coming spring season holds. Whatever may come, it's an awesome privilege to live for and WHOLLY trust the all-POWERFUL, all-KNOWING God who is in control and guides us through and provides sufficient grace for everyday. May the coming days find us all seeking to serve Him better; rejoicing in the GREAT THINGS He has done, is doing and will do!

"The LORD has done GREAT things for us; whereof  WE ARE GLAD!
{Psalm 126:3}
