Wonders of His Love... {December Recap}

Our December was fun and full, and we loved every bit of it.
 Just think on this...Jesus, humbly condescended to this Earth; being born in a manger. That He was tempted in all points as we are, yet without sin.  That He would have mercy on people; healing and forgiving those who came to Him, even supplying physical food.  That He came only to do the will of His father; to make God's name glorious. Then at the appointed time,  He would willingly give up His life to redeem us.  Three days later, He rose victorious over death and hell, showing the world that all the prophecies had been fulfilled: Jesus came, died, and rose again!  Our Savior isn't a babe in a manger; He's the King of Kings.  He's worthy of our wholehearted allegiance, our only pursuit; in Him we have our all in all.

Decorating for Christmas!

Making Cards

This mommy didn't want her baby to wait 'til Christmas day to open presents!
Christmas Baking!
Anna always makes the best buckeyes. Sugar cookies are a season staple we all do together.

 Of course, the ordinary of school experiments, swing rides and hugs n' kisses doesn't cease!

Homemade gifts are my favorite...

What a joyful privilege it was to share the "wonders of His love" this month. Walking the streets in a parade while passing out tracts and candy, even the countenances of the people we encountered tell of broken lives, desperately in need of our Savior.  To the lost, Christ's yoke doesn't seem easy and His burden light, but, to us, it is.  As friends and family working together,  we'd find ourselves saying "they don't know what they're missing out on".  Of the hundreds of people we encountered who likely didn't know Him, we could only say "Why me, Lord?"  God's undeserved love towards us is amazing.  How can we not share it with others?

Caroling We thoroughly enjoyed getting to do it as a family and with friends this season; sharing the gospel with neighbors.
Surprises to mail...such fun! the lights, fire and cold weather! And, of course, these little people!

Opening Presents on our family Christmas Day... It really is more blessed to give, and such fun to watch everyone's excitement over their gifts, and the gifts they give to others.
Can he get any cuter?

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called
The mighty God,
The everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace.
{Isaiah 9:6}
[A big thanks to Anna for doing a fantastic job capturing most the pictures from this past month!]
